DATA RESIDENCY

Choose where STRG stores your data

Select a primary storage region for each bucket. Add geographic replication only when your workload and agreement call for it.

How STRG handles different data types

A serious residency review should account for both.

Customer object data

Objects uploaded to a bucket are stored in the selected primary region. Cross-region copies are created only when replication or another agreed resilience arrangement is enabled.

  • Bucket-level region selection
  • Explicit replication configuration
  • Encryption in transit and at rest

Account and operational data

Account records, billing information, support communications, security logs and service telemetry may be processed separately from stored objects to operate and protect the service.

  • Limited to operational purposes
  • Access controlled and logged
  • Subject to applicable agreements
