1. Agreement and provider
STRG is operated by Stack Technology GmbH, Zollergasse 7/1/5, 1070 Wien, Austria (“STRG”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, accepting an order or using STRG, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you use STRG for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
2. The service
STRG provides S3-compatible object storage, account and access-key management, developer tools, support, and related features described in our documentation. Features, regions, limits and compatibility may change as the service develops.
Your order form or checkout may contain additional terms. If documents conflict, a signed order form controls, followed by any data processing agreement, these Terms, and referenced policies.
3. Accounts and security
Provide accurate account and billing information and keep it current. You are responsible for users, access keys, credentials, permissions, integrations and activity under your account. Keep credentials confidential, use appropriate access controls, and notify promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not share an account in a way that defeats applicable user or security controls, misrepresent your identity, or access another account without permission.
4. Customer data
You retain all rights in objects, files, prompts, instructions and other data you submit to STRG (“Customer Data”). You give us only the rights needed to host, copy, transmit, secure and otherwise process Customer Data to provide and support the service, comply with your instructions, and meet legal obligations.
You are responsible for Customer Data, including its legality, accuracy, backups, classification, and the permissions needed to process it. You must not submit Customer Data unless you have the necessary rights and a lawful basis to do so.
5. AI assistant and MCP tools
STRG may provide an assistant, MCP server or other agent tools that can explain the service and, when authorized, take actions such as planning integrations, creating buckets or managing access keys. An AI-generated response can be incomplete or wrong. Review important output and use appropriate permissions, approval steps and human oversight.
Actions requested through an AI feature are treated as instructions from your account. You remain responsible for the permissions you grant and actions you approve. STRG does not use Customer Data, prompts or assistant conversations to train general-purpose AI models. Providers used to deliver an AI feature may process that data only to provide the feature under applicable contractual safeguards.
6. Acceptable use
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You may not use STRG unlawfully, infringe another person’s rights, distribute malware, interfere with the service, bypass limits or security controls, or create unreasonable risk for STRG or others.
We may investigate suspected abuse and preserve or disclose information where required by law. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice before restricting content or access.
7. Pricing, metering and payment
Unless an order form says otherwise, usage is measured during each monthly billing period and billed in arrears at the prices shown when you purchase the service. The published standard storage rate is $6.80 per TB per month, with the first 10 GB free per account. Egress and standard supported S3 requests are included. Any separately priced features and applicable billing details must be disclosed before purchase. Prices exclude VAT, sales tax and similar taxes unless stated otherwise.
You authorize us and our payment providers to charge your selected payment method. Invoices are due on the date shown. Tell us about a billing dispute within 30 days of the invoice and pay undisputed amounts on time. We may suspend paid features for overdue undisputed amounts after reasonable notice.
Except where law requires otherwise, metered charges already incurred are non-refundable. We may change public prices prospectively by giving at least 30 days’ notice; a price change will not alter a fixed committed term in a signed order form.
8. Consumer cancellation and withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, you may withdraw from a contract made online within 14 days without giving a reason. The period begins when the contract is concluded. To withdraw, send a clear statement with your name, account email and decision to withdraw to or to our postal address above before the period expires.
If you ask us to begin a paid service during the withdrawal period and then withdraw, you may owe a proportionate amount for service supplied before your notice. Where a statutory exception applies after your express request and acknowledgement, the withdrawal right may end. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep STRG available and secure, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation unless a written service level agreement says otherwise. Maintenance, incidents, internet conditions, third-party systems and events outside our reasonable control can affect the service.
We may update or discontinue features. If a change materially reduces core paid functionality, we will give reasonable advance notice where practical and, for consumers, any remedy required by law.
10. Suspension
We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a security risk, unlawful activity, an Acceptable Use Policy violation, non-payment, harm to the service or others, or a legal requirement. We will limit the scope and duration where practical and give notice unless doing so would increase risk or violate law.
11. Termination and data export
You may stop using STRG and close your account at any time, subject to outstanding charges and any committed term. We may terminate for a material breach that is not cured within a reasonable period after notice, or immediately where the breach cannot be cured, creates serious risk, or law requires it.
Export Customer Data before the account closes. After termination, Customer Data may become inaccessible and will be deleted through our normal deletion lifecycle, subject to backups, legal retention duties and any written agreement. Sections that by their nature should survive—including payment, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and dispute terms—remain in effect.
12. Privacy and data processing
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data for accounts, billing, support and service operations. When we process personal data in Customer Data on your behalf, you are the controller and Stack Technology GmbH is the processor unless applicable law provides otherwise. Our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these Terms when we process personal data on your behalf.
You are responsible for required notices, consents, instructions and lawful bases relating to personal data in Customer Data.
13. Intellectual property and feedback
STRG and its licensors own the service, software, documentation, branding and related intellectual property. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your account term. They do not transfer ownership of STRG or Customer Data.
If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or payment, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.
14. Warranties
For business customers, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that every S3 feature or third-party integration is supported.
Consumers retain all warranties and conformity rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.
For business customers, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill or loss of data, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. Each party’s total aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees paid or payable for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This cap does not apply to payment obligations, misuse of the other party’s intellectual property, breach of confidentiality, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For business customers, the courts with subject-matter jurisdiction in Vienna, Austria have exclusive jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law and venue does not deprive you of mandatory protections or court access available under the law of your habitual residence. We are not obliged and do not commit to participate in an alternative consumer dispute-resolution procedure unless applicable law requires it.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal or security changes. We will post the revised Terms and update the date above. For material changes affecting an existing paid account, we will give at least 30 days’ notice where reasonably possible. If you do not agree, you may stop using the service before the change takes effect, subject to any committed term and mandatory rights.
18. General
You may not assign these Terms without our consent, except as part of a merger or sale of substantially all relevant assets. We may assign them as part of a reorganization, merger, acquisition or asset transfer. Neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control.
If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, referenced policies, any data processing agreement and applicable order form are the entire agreement about the service.
